If you aren't able to get down on the beach or the weather and tides don't allow it, the Gold Coast City Council is building the Oceanway along the foreshore.
The wide coloured concrete path will eventually run the entire length of the coast at the top of the dunes allowing fantastic pedestrian and wheeled/cycle access in all weather.
Stop along the way and take in the scenery.

Nearby places to visit include Currumbin wildlife Sanctuary, Twin Towns, Elephant Rock, Currumbin Rock Pools, Point Danger and the Centaur Memorial, world famous Kirra Beach, and the Tweed Hinterland.
Most areas can be accessed by car in about 15 minutes at the most.
Remember the Gold Coast Airport is a 5 minute drive too!
